It is with a heavy heart I report that as of today the Sphinx has gone *again*. What 100 years ago was considered to be a permanent feature of our hills has vanished for the 10th time. Five of these have been since 2017. A sad day. π· Joe Glennie

Some pics from day 2 of #NC500 cycle trip today. Tough day on that Drumbeg road with some brutal ascents, especially with the panniers. Clouded up a bit later but was glad to be out the heat of the sun. Hoping for a flatter day tomorrow.

Today Forest Way made a Β£500 donation to OATS @Mountain_Scot This is something close to our hearts and we are more than happy to contribute to the path restoration on #AnTeallach which is such an iconic mountain in our area. Please consider donating to this very worthwhile cause.

On our way into Garbh Coire yesterday we encountered this aquatic adder IN the Allt Clach nan Taillear. Interesting to see how tentatively, yet confidently it manages to get across the water to the riverbank. We were quite envious, as it was very hot in the glen yesterday π
