EVERY SETTING should be unchecked in Data sharing and personalization section of the X settings. Facebag used to enable data sharing by default too, and they got called out for it.

I was waiting for this to come up. I remember when this happened. Windows Vista x64 had a locked down kernel via Kernel PatchGuard. Antivirus companies complained and wanted it opened up, and since Vista SP1 it's been less secure. Thanks EU! 😒 https://t.co/0ypkxS8jup

The CrowdStrike Windows outage that hit the world this week stems back to an EU-Microsoft deal from 2009 that meant Microsoft had to give antivirus vendors the same Windows API access it had.
