How this situation is resolved will be an indicator of to what degree Manchester respects the contributions of small businesses like this one to our community.

$450,000 is simply not enough to buy another building and rebuild their business from the ground up. The City has a responsibility to ensure that those being displaced are properly supported and treated with fairness.

While I understand the need for this critical infrastructure improvement that will prevent raw sewage from entering the Merrimack River, it’s crucial that the owners receive fair compensation.

It’s heartbreaking to see Eighty Eight Coffee facing eminent domain for the Cemetery Brook Tunnel project.

The English translation is "work conquers" or "work prevails." So it's an apt motto for this city of industry that was built and and continues to be sustained by those who do the work and create the value from which we all benefit. Happy Labor Day, Manchester.

Labor Vincit. It's a Latin phrase that can be found on the City seal and which serves as Manchester's motto.

And while this is true for some young people, it's definitely not true for all. No generation is a monolith and young people—like all generations—also want to live in small cities, suburbs, towns, and yes, rural areas too.

We know here in New Hampshire that more and more young people are rural by choice and see rural as "the middle of everywhere.". But there's a narrative out there that young people only want to live in large cities.

If anything is moving any numbers it's the extra police patrols which allow for the enforcement of previously existing ordinances governing park behavior and drug use, as well as active warrant arrests.

Of the 150 citations issued, only 3 were for "camping" in parks, which the new ordinance in question aims to curb.

This headline is misleading at best, as even a cursory glance at our downtown parks shows no apparent reduction in unhoused individuals there.

Manchester is setting records, and not in a good way. 🌡️🔥. As we continue to experience these 90+ degree days, it's a stark reminder of the urgent need to address the effects of climate change. 🌏.
