March 19, 2001: Eric Bischoff announces that next week will be the final episode of WCW Nitro. One week later, WCW was sold to WWF. Wrestling was never the same again.

The Tyson/Austin segment was orchestrated to absolute perfection. Every news and sports media outlet were reporting on this immediately after Raw went off the air. This segment turned the Monday Night Wars in WWE’s favor.

This event also featured the greatest video package WWE ever produced featuring Rock/Austin and “My Way” by Limp Bizkit. Two generational talents, arguably the top draws in pro wrestling history, both in their primes, headlining Mania together. The pinnacle of wrestling.
