Recency bias is a frightful thing. That said, Usyk is a hell of a fighter and deserves more love than a lot of Americans give him.
I don't for a minute doubt Oleksandr Usyk's greatness .However some fans actually claim he's the best ever, based on his resume as proof. JUST STOP IT! Are you actually comparing Usyks wins to Ali's victories over Liston, Frazier, Foreman, Shavers, Patterson, Quarry? C'mon now .

I got asked other day why I can't write #historicalfiction about periods people care about. Sorry, but the Civil War (1.0), the #Regency, and the #Tudors are overdone. Instead, I write obscure RL archaeologists, orphans in the Crusades, and Foreign Legionnaires. I'm an idiot.

UGH. My dream publisher took my #historicalfiction submission all the way to the board and then passed on it. Can't say I'm not disappointed but onward and upward. The Deserter will see the light of day. Any publishers looking for dark, violent tales of the Foreign Legion?
