I recently tweeted about the importance of financial models in evaluating seed stage pitches ( https://t.co/5qKYj6vFkw), I want to share a few notes about how and why they’re so helpful and illuminating. 1/19
the reason I like to look at financial models at the early stage is not to scrutinize the numbers but understand the main drivers of the business and to have a conversation with the founders about what they think the next year or two looks like

Having a vision for your startup doesn't mean predicting the future, it means having a framework for making decisions quickly. Without this, you move too slowly and die through indecision or arguing internally. The vision can change and optimally it does via expansiveness.
