We are WMU Special Collections at @wmulibraries. We house over 41,000 items in the Zhang Legacy Collections Center (1650 Oakland Drive). Open to the public.

The Zhang Legacy Collections Center will be closed March 8 - 9 for spring recess. Our spring hours will resume next week, and we will reopen on Tuesday at 8 a.m.

“Aspects of Village Life” features people engaged in crafts such as papermaking and spinning. The figures are pasted to cards with captions in four languages: English, Kannada, Tamil and Hindi and were considered educational toys in the 1930s and 40s. #specialcollections

Our #cuneiform tablet is among the oldest items in our collections. We used a 3D scanner and printer to replicate the tablet this summer. We now have 3D-printed versions so students can manipulate it without fear of damage to the original. @WMULibraries #SpecialCollections
