Opening night for Annie Jr. was a success!!! I am SO stinking proud of these kids (middle and high school alike), and I canāt wait to see them do it again tomorrow and Saturday! Will we see you there???. Also - my production team is the best. The. Best. š

The Annie Jr. set is (mostly) painted and looks amazing, thanks to these awesome high schoolers (and Mrs. Kochner) - and the Home Depot delivery folks who got our order here at the beginning of the delivery window instead of 8 pm! š

These kids did an absolutely AMAZING job with The Mousetrap, and I am so stinking proud of each of them!!! I absolutely love getting to work with them and getting to watch onstage!

What a great rehearsal for Annie today! We were able to cover so much ground, thanks to our amazing Music Director (Mrs. Kochner) and Assistant Music Director (Josh). Also - what an amazingly talented cast!!!

Itās been a challenging weekend. On Tuesday, Iām hoping to share some of Dr. Tateās strategies at our WSD Share Fair (weather permitting), including the Circle of Influence that goes along with this post. Great reminder for me personally and hopefully for others as well!.
A good reminder as we start a new week! Not everything is under our control. Remember this as we go through the week, and I guarantee the week will feel a little less stressful than usual. Have a great week with your students! #edchat

Got to see three of my awesome kids in Joseph tonight. (Sidenote: what does one wear to see Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat? Amazing Technicolor Converse, of course!). Seriously. These kids were just phenomenal!

Our Annie Jr. principal cast met today for some character development - including a little Mad Gab with their main groups! Excited to work with our ensemble tomorrow - canāt wait to hear the stories they create for their characters!

Day 2 of our Annie Jr. clinicals is underway! Today weāre working on our vocal audition piece with our Music Director and Assistant Music Director (and Choreographer). Weāre already impressed and excited!!!

I can honestly say that there are precious few people who could get me to willingly sit in basketball bleachers for 4+ hours. But I will gladly sit that long if it means I get to talk to these guys while waiting to see them wrestle (and DOMINATE)!
