Seeing the joy in this young recycler may be one of the few things that could make your #Halloween sweeter. 🎃 The day started on a high note when Henry saw the shiny green WM truck in front of his house. Our drivers love bringing smiles to community members along their routes!

Standing tall to learn heavy duty mechanics and thank @WasteManagement! @VIUniversity students are working hard on our retired trucks to study engines and truck systems. It’s all thanks to a donation made possible by the WM family serving Nanaimo and neighboring communities.
A big thank you to @WMBritishCo, who recently donated four trucks to VIU’s Heavy Mechanical Trades Foundation program! The donation enables students to work on modern trucks – previously much of the equipment students learned on was more than 25 years old. @GiveToVIU

Winter reminder for businesses, condos and apartments in BC: Remove snow and ice from alongside, and in front of, rolling containers (and the top of curbside carts) as it may prevent WM trucks from providing service. See the before and after photos to see how it's done!

Lithium-ion batteries surround us in our daily lives, so it’s important to know how to safely store and dispose of them. When it's time to toss out your old batteries, take them to a local drop-off site. Find one near you at https://t.co/9HYc9uSZte or https://t.co/vIvVcOsSFv.

Did you know aluminum cans are infinitely recyclable? It's true. It's also more cost-effective to make a recycled aluminum can than it is to produce a new one! Learn more about recycling aluminum in this short #RecycleRight video from @wastemanagement. https://t.co/PBYcJblBWN
