💡we also speculated that GVC bacteria might have a role in utilizing the excess of iron through the reduction of Fe(III) to Fe(II) making it more bioavailable.

🪸 One reason might be related to behavioral response of coral polyps. Increasing Fe levels induce longer polyp contraction and less O2 exchange, causing O2 consumption within GVC.
