Congratulations to our 2024 Varsity team on once again being named a top NFCA Academic All American Team and 14 of our players being named All American Scholar Athletes!🧡🥎🖤💪🏻
Press Release:
We lost our favorite scorekeeper, but are forever grateful for all he did for WCHS and especially our program. We love you and will miss you tons, Ronnie! 🖤🧡
Congratulations to Georgia Duncan for being voted unanimously to 1st Team All Mid Illini conference! This means she received 1st team in ALL 3 sports she played this year (BB, VB, SB)!
We’re saddened by the passing of Coach Brown. He coached with a passion that no one could match. Join us as we pray for Jodi, his family, & the Panther Basketball Program.
This team not only won the Mid Illini Conference, but finished a perfect 14-0 which hasn't been done in our program since 1999! Way to go ladies!

Coach Reed missed Panther practice today to watch his son’s Tolono Rockets play Gibson City in a classAA Sectional. His freshman granddaughter Madeline’s 6th inning 2 rbi double helped the Rockets win 6-5 ! (Proud Granddad !)
Thank you to all the donors that made our new scoreboard possible: James and Dee Ann Hengst, Laser Electric, M4 Steel, Miller Welding, and LaHood Construction. We are extremely grateful and looking forward to using it! Couldn’t have done it w/o all of you!!
5 homeruns in a game by 5 Panthers (Alyssa Martin, Hayley Earl, Kayana Diederich, Mary Toyne, and Kennedy Tuckwell) in a Panther 20-8 win over East Peoria, sets a new school record for HR's in a game.
From Tennessee to Illinois, these girls have memories that will stay with them forever. Thankful for every one of them bringing a different piece to our puzzle this year! 🧡🥎🖤🐾

Madi McCoy continues to make an impact wherever she goes on AND off the field! She started our Hits for Heroes game which has continued each year and now she’s raising $ for the KB Strong foundation at BGSU! What an amazing athlete, but even better person! Proud of you, Madi!
These girls got themselves into the WCHS Softball record book for being part of the most home runs in a game with 8 which surpasses the record of 5 from last season!💪🎉🥎🐾🧡
Following the Softball Panther’s 9-0 WIN to open the PANTHER ‘S PINK TOURNAMENT , Coach Clint Reed points to WIN

Unfortunately our season ended, but the next day these girls are making a difference volunteering at Illinois Cancer Care and delivering our annual donation from our Swing for the Cure Tournament.💕🥎
These girls are the bomb!💙🤍❤️
Our season coming to an end is tough, but be proud of your accomplishments: Pink Day Champs, Undefeated Mid Illini Champs, Regional Champs, and 30 wins. Thanks to our 6 seniors for all you did for our program! You have lots of Panther Softball memories!
These girls make a difference every day, but our annual trip to Illinois Cancer Care to volunteer and give our donation check is always something special! What an amazing organization to partner with each year! Happy National Donut Day!
Thanks to the McKinley’s for hosting a great end of the year party! Amazing group of ball players and even better people! In Everly’s words “The girls are the best. They are kind and I love them!” Cooper agrees too! 👶🏻 And, so does their mom! 🙋🏼♀️❤️
The 22nd annual Washington Panther Classic All-Tournament Team... lots of great talent from lots of talented teams. Congrats to Panthers Scrivner & McKinley
Just watched ex-Panther Madi McCoy on ESPN+ hit a line Drive RBI single for her 2nd hit of the game, giving Bowling Green a 9-3 advantage over Morehead State. ESPN+ may cost $4.99/ month but watching McCoy bat was well worth the price.
In 2015 these girls were State Champs. 🏆 In 2022 they are being inducted into the WCHS Hall of Fame! 🎉 We will be welcoming the team back Oct. 21/22 for their induction and can’t wait to have them back in Washington together again!🖤🥎🧡

Congratulations to all the WCHS graduates today especially these 5! 🎉🎓
We will be celebrating them at Jan Smith Field on Friday at 7 p.m. for Senior Night!🖤🥎🧡🐾
Thanks to Pekin softball and everyone involved in our annual Hits for Heroes game as we will be sending around 100 shoe boxes filled with essentials to Operation Shoebox. Great game honoring our troops!
Ex-Panther star Madi McCoy playing now for Bowling Green, homered in her 1st Division I game versus Boston University. Good Luck to you and your team !
Congrats to Hayley Reneau on being named Eureka College's Female Athlete of
the year. We still remember what a great shortstop and hitter you were for the WCHS Softball Panthers. Stop by for a game & we might let you throw out the 1st pitch.
Thanks to Mrs. Diederich for throwing out the first pitch! Congratulations to the varsity girls on their Swing for the Cure tournament championship going undefeated today!

Prior to their induction into the Washington High Hall of Fame, some of the 1989 Softball Panthers stopped by Jan Smith Field to reminisce and see the changes that have been made
Mid Illini All Conference selections for 1st team were Budd, Diederich, Earl, Marchand, and Toyne. Second team was Keeley and Tuckwell. Congratulations to all 7 of you for ladies!!
