Y3 Art Day - Today we are learning about the artist Keith Haring. First, we recapped the artists we'd studied so far this year, before discussing the style and key features of Haring's artwork in a 'walk and talk' task. @WBJJuniorSchool #wbjsart

Stage 3 - tasting and judging. Our bread looked and tasted amazing (well mostly!!). Paul Hollywood (aka Mrs Rayner) was a fantastic judge and chose a worthy winner. As all good designers we evaluated our finished product. #wbjsdt @WBJJuniorSchool @HarbourLearning

Stage 2 - We thought about our class design criteria and looked closely at our individual designs to create our bread. We added at least 2 ingredients to make our unique. We knew texture and shape could help us win the competition. @WBJJuniorSchool @wbjsdt @HarbourLearning

Year 3 have started their 'Great British Bread Bake Off'. Stage 1 - We worked as a team to weigh and mix the ingredients and then knead the dough. We found it hard work but enjoyable! We were very surprised to see the dough rise up! @wbjsdt @WBJJuniorSchool

Y3 Science - identifying and classifying different seeds according to how they are dispersed, using the acronym BEEFFS to remember them (Blow, Eat, Explode, Float, Fall, Stick). Then we investigated how sycamore seeds 'twirl' by making our own! #wbjsscience @WBJJuniorSchool

Y3 History- 'How did the Ancient Egyptians mummify?' We role played being embalmers to create our own mummies - complete with precious amulets! Then we were able to sequence the process - which will be turned into a set of instructions. #wbjshistory @WBJJuniorSchool

Y3 Computing - We started learning about 'branching databases' today. We began with understanding 'yes or no' questions, choosing attributes to sort groups then created a branching database of dinosaurs! #wbjscomputing @WBJJuniorSchool

Y3 English - At the end of our latest BIG WRITE ( a setting description based on 'Marcy and the Riddle of the Sphinx) , we spent time peer assessing with our 'check specs' on - looking for the 'best' and 'better' sentences. #wbjsenglish @WBJJuniorSchool
