PSA has graded 3,287 Kabutos, about ~2.7% of all printed copies. After survivorship: ~70k estimated surviving raw copies (all conditions) ~10k–15k estimated NM/Mint survivors ~11k possible high-grade raw copies still ungraded TLDR: It's a feasible collection goal.

... In Fossil boosters, 7 out of 11 cards are commons. So 1st Edition commons ≈ 3M × (7/11) ≈ 1.9M cards. Fossil has 16 commons, so each one gets: 1.9M ÷ 16 ≈ ~120,000 copies printed. Estimated Kabuto 1st Edition print run: ~120k (likely 100k–150k range)...

Total Fossil print run (all printings) is likely 20–40 million cards 1st Edition was the smallest wave, typically ~10% of total WotC-era production Therefore, Fossil 1st Ed ≈ ~3 million cards total (using 30M as a midpoint for the whole set)...
