That's a tough one to watch, @MarkJCarney. This move exempts a large share of Canadian emissions from carbon pricing and, IMO, sets up the downfall of emissions pricing in general. That doesn't mean inaction, but it either means choosing more expensive or less effective action.

What's interesting to me right now is that extremists are trying to represent themselves as pragmatists. In my humble opinion pragmatists have always lacked any sense of forecasting the future and problem solving. Pragmatists aren't strategic.
