Today, my fellow organizers and I held an event in my home city of Compton where we watched "Dope is Death". A doc about the heroin epidemic of the 1970s in NY and how a group of Black Panthers used acupuncture to help detoxify heroin addicts and built community health care.

Hosted my first community potluck event in my area. We spoke at length about fighting back as a community and had others share their experiences organizing. Shout out to all my comrades who helped prep and make this possible.

I love this community. I have been blessed with many friendships here. I'd hate for someone marginalized to feel as if they don't belong in his space, and clearly, marginalized people are saying they don't feel safe/welcomed/heard. That's a failure. Let's fix it.
