I'm seeing a lot of takes on why Lorwyn Eclipsed preview season is short. It's simple: It's the holidays. A normal 2-week preview season would have started Dec. 29 or 30, when our offices are (rightfully) closed. Enjoy your holidays and we'll see you Jan. 5 #wotcstaff

Me for scale! I might be biased, this may be the most stunning @PlayMTG Worlds trophy ever. #MagicWorldChampionship

Why should you be watching #MTGWorlds starting this Friday? If seeing the best of the best of this year fight for top honors wasn't enough, take a closer look at the stories and players to watch from @Pastrytime:

Great thread from one of the most incredible artists, who I was privileged to work with for a bit. "Art block is a lack of joy", I felt that in my bones.
"How do I find my art style?" I've been a creative pro for 10 years, this is the number 1 question I get. They want creative work to be recognizably theirs in an instant-- like Miyazaki or Wes Anderson movies. This is the formula for art style, it's much simpler than you think.

Movie 31 - HIM (2025) Great acting and beautiful cinematography couldn’t save this movie, unfortunately. For all its potential, the plot was all over the place and so it never truly hit its stride.

Movie 30 - Jennifer’s Body (2009) I can’t believe it’s taken me till now to watch this? I’m actually embarrassed. Great movie, great soundtrack. Some of the writing didn’t age well though…

Movie 29 - The Ugly Stepsister (2025) I wasn’t sure what to expect but it wasn’t that. A Swedish-language dark take on Cinderella from one of the stepsisters perspectives, extremely well done. Really pushed what I can stand with body horror at times.

Movie 28 - Heart Eyes (2025) Absolutely brutal opening. It being set in Seattle but very obviously wasn’t (palm trees at the airport lmao) was a little challenging to get past. Otherwise a fun watch!

Movie 27 - Tragedy Girls (2017) Interest twist on the teen slasher genre. Writing could have been a bit sharper but was still fun.

Movie 26 - MaXXXine (2024) Much bigger names in this one compared to Pearl or X. It was an enjoyable watch, though the killer is extremely predictable.

25 - Weapons (2025) Uh, okay, wow. That was something else, everything a great horror movie should be. Great performances from Garner and Brolin, but the standouts were Amy Madigan’s Gladys and Cary Christopher’s Alex.

Movie 24 - Ready or Not (2019) This was extremely fun and had more gore in it than I expected. Doesn’t take itself too seriously, excellent movie.

Movie 23 - Trust (2025) Billed as Suspense/Horror but at best it’s a Thriller. The premise and execution is deeply flawed and at times it felt goofy? Very odd.

Movie 22 - Opus (2025) Ayo Edebiri and John Malkovich give great performances in this. Feels a bit like The Menu meets Midsommer?

Movie 21 - Resident Evil: The Final Chapter (2017) High production value couldn’t save it from the main corner it had painted itself into all along: Clones for everyone!

Movie 20 - Resident Evil: Retribution (2012) A return to some of the themes and characters that made the first movie good, but still not enough to make it good, sadly.
