I've been spending time working on BallisticNGs content menus for 1.4 to make them scalable with the amount of content the game has these days. The ship menu is particular has some big changes in that navigating custom ships is no longer done in a completely ass backwards way 🙂

2280 is almost finished being rewritten, it's now using its own code instead of piggybacking off of the 2159 physics code!

Starting work on the 2280 rewrite for BNG 1.4, I'll probably need to come back and tweak stuff once the updated physics are implemented, but the camera's more or less done for the time being!

The Linux version of BallisticNG is now up on GOG 🙂
Just a heads up that BallisticNG is currently not available for Linux on GOG. There was apparently an issue in validation which we wearn't informed about. Just waiting on some clarification so we can look into it, we'll hopefully get it out in the next few days.

Finally got around to getting the new version of Vertex Lightmapper up! This is now in parity with what comes with the BNG modding tools, minus support for TRM meshes so it's usable for anything. The BNG ubershader and terrain shader are included too. https://t.co/b2J16a2jLS

I want to give it a general facelift and incoporate some elements of previous iterations back into it. The inside section will definetely be getting the biggest changes to make it look like an in-use facility, but outside is gonna remain a green and brown mess of industry.

Also I know that Aciknovae is one of the loved OGs of the game so saying it now, there's gonna be new scenery but I do not plan on making drastic changes like with Nova. Layout wise it will be retraced like Harpstone and Nova, but I'm only looking to adjust the pitlane.

It's been an unproductive 2 weeks and I'm getting the ball rolling again. I normally keep the lid on track deets until the showcase video but it's been a dissapointing weekend so screw that, here's WIP shots for the 3rd new track, the lower layer of the Aciknovae reactor!

As many are aware Unity has been up to no good this past week. They responded to the developer outcry yesterday, and with that we've determined our plans. Quick version: BNG is not dead, but the Switch version is cancelled. More details: https://t.co/szfZJnU7NW

As insane as this is, Unity are also trying to keep quiet that they've removed the Plus plan and are attempting to strong arm people currently using it onto Pro. They'll give you a year of Pro and Plus's price, then increase. Which is a 4.2x increase in price per month, per seat.
