It's a little chilling how dead-on Vonnegut is in this 1985 clip.
During his career, many people referred to #KurtVonnegut as a "futurist," and this clip from a 1985 BBC interview would certainly back up that notion. Vonnegut seems to speak directly to our current political situation, all but calling out #DonaldTrump by name. (Sound ON.)

Sad news from @VonnegutDoc co-Director, @BobWeide. Those of you who've seen the film will remember well Linda Weide's role in the film and in Weide's life. Vonnegut encouraged Weide to marry Linda, Weide's then-girlfriend. "Go for it! That redhead is a keeper!" RIP Mrs. Weide.
It is with profound sadness that I report my dear, sweet wife, Linda Weide, of blessed memory, passed away on Christmas Day. My tribute to her in the L.A. Times only scratches the surface. If you click on the attached, please read to the end. You would have loved her.
