Due to the #tsunami warning, the coastal areas of the park are closed. Chain of Craters Road is closed past Kealakomo to all use until further notice. Stay safe everyone!
Pacific Tsunami Warning Center extended the TSUNAMI WATCH for Hawai‘i. Magnitude of earthquake has been revised from 8.0 to 8.7. Analysis continues on whether Hawaii is threatened. Earliest expected arrival time: 7:17 p.m. HST. More alerts will be issued as analysis continues.

Kilauea Message 2025-03-19 10:23:38 HST: Small lava flows began erupting from the south vent around 9:50 am HST on March 19. Both the north and south vent are continuously erupting degassed lava flows as of 10:20 am HST and this activity appears to be the start of episode 14.
