A question for authors, how successful have you been from doing in person book signings at conventions and stores? Do you often end up with a bulk of unsold copies after the event?.

I'm always writing fantasy but have often hit a language issue. I often need someone to speak in a fake fantasy language. I've no skill in making up words, I often do something lazy like Google translating Latin but in a weird font. How do the rest of you create unique language.
