new volcanic eruption is taking place in the Afar region, not far from the existing Ertale volcano. The regional tourism bureau said that new volcanic eruptions have occurred at 4 locations within 15 km of the main Ertale volcano since yesterday.

Minister of Tourism , Her Excellency Salamwit Kassa, and her delegation visited Afar Regional State. In addition to visiting tourist destinations in the region, the delegation held discussions with the President of the Afar Regional State, Hajj Awel Arba, and regionalofficials.
