My review of Coolmore’s 2026 roster — from No Nay Never to The Antarctic — is live. For the short attention span crowd, it includes Trump-style calls on winners & losers. RTs appreciated 👌

The loss of Wootton Bassett will be keenly felt at Coolmore. Without him they lack a proper elite sire in Europe. It is still a formidable roster but Europe’s top sires are no longer concentrated i…

People bemoaning Economics being a bleeder forget that if he’d raced in the USA, Lasix would’ve covered it up. Founding sire Bartlett’s Childers was also known as Bleeding Childers. We should follow German rules on soundness for sires- instead economics give us Economics.

Palace Pier is for me the standout of the first season sires. Nothing wrong with Starman's start, but he has huge numbers and I expect the Palace Pier's will be better at three and they won't have the same stamina restrictions. 2026 could be a smart time to use him.

Havana Grey is an incredible sire. His current 2 year olds were bred for just £6000 and are from his 4th crop which is usually a sires weakest book. From 120 current juveniles, he already has had 41 runners and 16 winners. From 80 starts, they were in the first 3 on 47 occasions.

If connections of She's Perfect appeal today's stewards decision, they should show the video of Circus Maximus and Romanised in the Prix Moulin. Stewards didn't reverse placings then and distance was also a nose -Alas, stewards side with big owners.

Why Mark Holder and thousands of punters misuse racing stats Mark Holder in the @racingpost says "Most racing statistics are a total waste of time for punters" I would tend to agree, but not in the same way as Holder is implying. It seems that Holder is saying that stats are a

I will be cheering for Wintertraum in the German Derby . Great to see a pedigree that is very different and distinctively German- no Northern Dancer or Mr Prospector on the top line, a single strain of Northern Dancer via Lyphard on the bottom half. We need these outcrosses.

Mehmas is likely to set a record for two year old winners this season and he should eclipse Kodiac's 61 winners in 2017. Mehmas currently has 13 winners. The achievement is slightly diluted when you consider that he has 232 two year old's this season🫣

The 1984 Gladness Stakes saw El Gran Senor defeat Sadler's Wells. Fertility issues hindered El Gran Senor but he sired 53 Stakes winners from 415 foals, an impressive 13%. That was the same % of stakes winners as Sadler's achieved in his stellar career (from 2259 foals).
