A difficult night for Labour. Labour can’t try to out-Reform Reform - but the government will be rewarded if it delivers the change working people are crying out for.

Really important thread from @jayne_sharratt who brought this important motion to Council on Wednesday 👇
Why did Lib Dems in Tunbridge Wells this week vote against a motion supporting the Climate & Nature Bill being brought to parliament by one of their own MPs, & worse than that, try to force through a weakening of the council’s own commitment to net zero at the same time? 🧵 1.

‘The Chancellor was right to prioritise hospitals and classrooms over private jets.’ 👇
Today's budget is a vital first step towards the growth, jobs and living standards working people desperately need. The Chancellor was dealt a terrible hand by the Conservatives – economic chaos, falling living standards and broken public services. But with today’s budget she

Conservative and Reform MP’s have just voted against boosting the rights of millions of working people. Why? Because they will always put the interests of a dodgy boss before workers.
BREAKING 🚨 | Conservative and Reform MPs have just voted AGAINST the Employment Rights Bill. They've voted to stand on the side of exploitation, zero-hours contracts and fire and rehire. True colours.

Great to be down in Exeter to speak with @TUCSouthWest Regional Council colleagues this morning about the trade union response to the far right. Also fab to be on a platform with these brilliant trade union women 👌

What a massive step forward for working people. After 14 years of erosion, what a change to see a government improving workers’ rights, tackling harassment and encouraging union access to workplaces👌
This is HUGE. Following years of union campaigning, the government's new Employment Rights Bill is the biggest upgrade to workers' rights in a generation. Here’s how it affects YOU.

Back to work tomorrow after nearly three weeks off to catch my breath (and move house). Lots has happened this year, both personally and professionally, so really needed to have a break and focus on 👧🏼 & 🐶. So looking forward to getting back to it.
