If the Nixon Newell/Miranda Alize thing is true, then it’s not terribly surprising that Nixon had so much trouble finding bookings post-WWE. That said, AEW fans can’t hate her for walking out when they’ve applauded Mercedes, Punk, PAC, Toni, etc. for doing the same to WWE.

Look, at least three more 40+ year olds challenging for the opportunity to wrestle an almost 50 year old John Cena. WWE really needs to get younger. So far, the youngest name announced is Rusev and he’s 39.
The latest matches officially announced for ‘The Last Time is Now Tournament’: • The Miz vs. Jey Uso • LA Knight vs. a surprise opponent

I have to give Tony Khan some credit. By announcing the AEW National Championship, he’s done more in 24 hours to get people talking about NWA than Billy Corgan has in 9 years. Hey, at least it’s not publicity for a bad EC3, Tyrus, or Trevor Murdoch match.

Your point? Steve Austin wss The Ringmaster, Kane was Isaac Yankem, Bray Wyatt was Husky Harris. Dolph Ziggler was Nicky. The Young Bucks were Generation Me. Cody Rhodes wss Stardust. Wrestlers can outgrow a bad gimmick. Doesn’t make what he’s saying any less valid.

It’s the wrestling equivalent of stolen valor. The only thing these two titles have in common is sharing a name. (2/2)

What lineage? Surely, you can’t be talking about the lineage of NWA National Championship. That title still exists This is a brand new title. There is no lineage. It’s an AEW title cosplaying as that NWA Title, even mentioning names like Orndorff and Koloff to fool people (1/2)
Tony Khan has been known to sit on new titles for awhile, waiting for the perfect spot to introduce them. Odds are, The National Championship is the reason why The Continental and International Championships were Unified. Using a title with a lineage would be hard to pass up.

MVP just called it the International Championship, which is one of the titles they just unified. AEW has so many titles that even their own roster members can’t remember what they’re called. #AEWDynamite

Why? The last thing WWE and AEW need right now is more titles. They feel like props. AEW already has three men’s titles. There’s no point. They just merged the International and Continental Title because they had too many men’s midcard titles.
Tony khan has announced that at full gear there will be a casino gauntlet to crown a National Championship, spiritually bring the former NWA title back to TBS for the first time since 1986!

Plus, we know she’s not going to lose 12 (or 13, when she wins this one) times to drop them all to somebody actually from those promotions. Her ego won’t allow it. The same ego that says she needs 12+ titles at the same time. It does nothing for anyone but her. (3/3)

Who cares? She already has 12 titles. When is enough enough? Ridiculous. At this point, you can’t even argue that it’s doing anything for anybody other than Mercedes. It doesn’t help the promotions, when nobody can name any of the non-AEW/ROH/CMLL titles she has off hand. (1/2)
House of Glory sent the following exclusively to Fightful, confirming Mercedes Mone's HOG opponent: Mercedes Mone will battle APAC Wrestling Women’s Champion Nor “Phoenix” Diana at HOG Superclash on Saturday November 15th in Long Island! Phoenix is the world’s first hijab

I know I won't be attending shows or buying merchandise until prices are reasonable. I can skip Raw/SmackDown any given week and not really care, because it feels like I've missed very little. It's soulless, stale, and I no longer feel the same excitement tuning in. (3/3)

With the Netflix/ESPN deals, plastering of ads everywhere on-screen, pointless celebrity cameos, and extortionate ticket prices for a mediocre product, it's clear that the only way TKO will learn is if fans vote with their wallets. I know, it's probably wishful thinking. (2/3)

As a near-lifelong wrestling fan, good. I want this to keep happening. Before anyone says it, no, I don't want WWE to go out of business. I just think this is the start of the wake-up call that TKO needs. It isn't a hot take to say that 2025 has been a bad year for WWE. (1/3)

Isn't it ironic how the people who have spent the last 3.5 years bashing Ridge Holland for breaking Big E's neck are suddenly fans, all because of one "Fed Bad" post from him?

By the end of the year, not one of these men will be under 40. WWE really needs a to get younger, particularly in its men’s midcard and main event scenes. John Cena should be putting over the future in his last match, not someone whose best years are behind him.
The first two matches in ‘The Last Time is Now Tournament’: • Rusev vs. Damian Priest • Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Sheamus

Let’s hope the new WWE landscape involves affordable ticket prices, pushing people under 35, cutting back on the ads/pointless celeb cameos, having major title changes ourside of WrestleMania/SummerSlam, etc. Just kidding. It’ll be the exact same soulless product as last week.

How often do WWE and AEW claim that there’s a new landscape/era? I’ve honestly lost count. I could be wrong, but I highly doubt tonight’s Raw will feel markedly different than last week’s or any other Raw from the past year.

Remember when there were rumours that Trump would be in attendance for WrestleMania this year, and he just… wasn’t? I wouldn’t be surprised if these rumours age just as well. If either of those men are there, I’ll believe it when I see it.
People in WWE believe both Vince McMahon and Donald Trump will be in attendance for John Cena's last match. "I have had people speculate that both Donald Trump and Vince McMahon are gonna be at John Cena’s final match. I mean, Vince can be there. He can buy a ticket. There is a

Gunther doesn’t need it. WWE has already treated him like a big deal. He’s the longest reigning Intercontinental Champion ever, and 2x World Heavyweight Champion. If you want John Cena’s last match to mean something, use it to build someone who isn’t 35+ and already established.
Gunther is the perfect man to retire John Cena. A supervillain conquering the ultimate babyface with tears from the crowd sounds like magic.

If they know either one, it’ll be Lesnar as the former UFC fighter. Nobody will know Mercedes by name for her brief appearance in Star Wars. Wrestling fans live in such an echo chamber that they don’t understand non-fans don't know their favourites. (2/2)
