Chat, I’m crying so goddamn hard rn.

But in recent years, I feel like I forgot those lessons. I lost some of that hope and that fight. It’s about time I remember what Dark Souls taught me, and start improving my life and my mental health. Praise the sun! ☀️.

In those games, giving up is the only real way to lose. Solaire of Astora really stuck with me. His optimism, his search for his own sun, and his positive spirit left a huge impact on me growing up. He taught me it’s okay to keep going, even in the darkest of places.

It was such a dark and gothic setting with this overwhelming sense of dread and hopelessness. But that wasn’t the story, that wasn’t the lesson. The point is about raging against the dying of the light. It’s about finding reasons to live, staying hopeful, and never giving up.

“So, what do you say? Why not help one another on this lonely journey?”. I grew up playing the souls franchise, I picked up Dark Souls 2 when I was 12 and fell in love with the franchise from that point onward.

Sometimes I need to remember the valuable lessons this MF taught me.
