Veterans in public office are right to remind troops of their oath: we swear to the Constitution — never to a single person or unlawful orders. Calling veterans “traitors” or hinting they deserve violence is dangerous, un-American, and undermines the very oath we took.

At Vets Forward, we believe in leading by example. That’s why it’s ridiculous to see politicians shouting that college is a waste of time, right before dropping their kids off at freshman orientation. An uneducated public is easier to control. And they know it. #VetsFoward

Not sure who needs to hear this, but gathering all of your top military leaders in one place and then announcing it publicly isn’t exactly in The Art of War. 🤔 Vets learned that good strategy means thinking ahead — and national security should never be treated like a photo-op.
