Although some medical marijuana protections are in this year's MilCon-VA Approps bills, their safety is not guaranteed once a final spending deal is reached. Kudos to @RepBrianMast, @repblumenauer, @repdinatitus & @RepLCD for fighting to maintain these vital provisions.

The longer alternatives like cannabis are no longer criminalized and stigmatized, the harder the road transitioning away from opioids will be. Our veteran community needs safer treatment solutions, not harmful ones.
