Due to the continued worsening of this weekend’s weather forecast, we have taken the difficult decision to cancel Vélo South. Please read our full statement here:

Please rest assured that the safety of riders, spectators and volunteers is our absolute priority and we will keep you up to date as things develop. We will issue a further update tomorrow via email, our social channels and on our event website.

As things stand the event is still going ahead but we will continue to monitor the situation closely as the weather forecast becomes more certain. 2/3

*IMPORTANT WEATHER UPDATE* You may have seen that the weather forecast for this Sunday 23rd is showing some wet and windy conditions across West Sussex, with a Met Office Yellow Weather Warning in place for strong winds in the region during the hours of the event. 1/3

For any journeys you have planned on Sunday 23 September, we recommend planning travel ahead where possible. The easiest way to navigate around the road closures by car will be to use Google maps or a satellite enabled/live update GPS.

Key crossings along the route during the road closures include the A24, the A283 near Fisherstreet and the A272 at Rogate.
