Novak would never have gone to Australia if he had not been given an exemption to enter the country by the government (which he did receive; hence Judge Kelly’s initial ruling). He would have skipped the Australian Open and been home with his family and no one would be.. [1/2]

.. talking about this mess. There was a political agenda at play here with the elections coming up which couldn’t be more obvious. This is not his fault. He did not force his way into the country and did not “make his own rules”; he was ready to stay home. [2/2]
Despite the controversy of the last 30+hours,
@DjokerNole
is my friend, my fellow player,
@ptpaplayers
co-founder & proud Serbian. I wish him & all Orthodox believers, safety & good health on their Christmas Eve. Stay strong my brother. 🕯️🙏🏼🐺
I’m pleased and grateful that the Judge overturned my visa cancellation. Despite all that has happened,I want to stay and try to compete
@AustralianOpen
I remain focused on that. I flew here to play at one of the most important events we have in front of the amazing fans. 👇
Lights out today but wasn’t enough to take down my man
@DjokerNole
😅. Too good, my friend. Great week here in Tel Aviv; feels good to be playing high level tennis again 🎾💪🏼
The
@atptour
has never cared about the players. In 2018 I finished a 3h battle at 12:45am & was scheduled to play at 1pm next day. Not joking. All they could say was “this is within the rules”.
The next day I herniated my disc after 4 games, had surgery and was out for 9 months
Bravo
@atptour
👏👏 way to help one of the best players in the world recover and be as ready as possible when he finished his previous match at 2:37 am this morning👍👍 14,5 hours to recover.. what a joke🤦
There were discussions a few years back that the ATP/WTA wanted to “slow the game down” to have longer points for fans. The balls have been getting incrementally heavier and surprise surprise, it’s killing our bodies. Almost every player I’ve spoken to.. [1/2]
Couldn't bring it home in the end but what a week. Wouldn't want to share this moment with any other guys. What a team 🇨🇦. Thank you everyone back home for your support 🙏. Thank you
@DavisCupFinals
for an incredible event & treating us so well. Can't wait to be back ♥️

Felt amazing to be back competing today after such a long road back! Still lots to do. Was special to have my first match back be at
@Wimbledon
, on Canada Day, and against a good friend. So much respect and love for this champ!

Finally stepped on a tennis court today and hit my first ball in 5 months! Many tough moments and still a lot to do but its amazing how I had taken being on a tennis court for granted. Can’t believe how happy this made me today. Huge thx to all involved in my recovery so far🙏🏼
..feels the same way. I’ve never seen more wrist, elbow, and shoulder injuries in the locker room. If these changes to the ball don’t start getting reversed, it’s only going to get worse. Please start listening
@atptour
@wtatour
. Player injuries are bad for you too. [2/2]
So sad for
@andy_murray
. Hands down one of the best guys on tour. So much respect for him as an all around athlete and person. Hope his body can recover. If not, he will be missed by all. 😔
My face says it all here. Growing up I wanted to be like
@rogerfederer
. I probably cared more about his on court results those years than I did my own.
Tennis won’t be the same. Thank you for all you’ve done for the sport & for leaving such an impact on my life & so many others.
Not meant to be today but still a great

and nice to be back on the court after such a long time away 😊. Big thank you to everyone for the support! 🙏🏼. Next up ➡️ Roland Garros
After today’s successful meeting, we are excited to announce the beginning of the Professional Tennis Players Association (PTPA). The first player only association in tennis since 1972.

No. 159 Sumit Nagal says he is not living a very good life, unable to make a living with tennis. 🇮🇳
"If I look at my bank balance, I have what I had at the start of the year: 900 euros. I am investing whatever I am making".
"I did get a bit of help, I get a monthly salary from…
8 months since my lower back injury in October of last year, and undergoing surgery, I'm ready go! Wouldn't want my comeback tournament to be any other than

Quite the roller coaster ride the last 3 months but glad to finally start putting it behind me. Successfully underwent lower back surgery in NYC. Big thx to Dr. Pavel Kolar, Dr. John Theodoropoulos, & surgeon Dr. Frank Camissa at the

I want to sincerely apologize for my behavior on the court in Miami earlier today. I disrespected the game I love and for that I am truly sorry. By way of explanation, I felt deeply unnerved during a meeting between players and ATP executives last night, and.. [1/2]
Unfortunately I was one of the players on a plane that had a positive COVID-19 case and will have to isolate in my hotel room for 2 weeks. Not the best prep right before of Slam but will try make the most of it.
#AussieOpen
Due to health reasons, I will be off the tour for the next 3-4 months. Tough news but this is part of the journey. Hope to be back in competition soon. Will take this time to work on other projects and enjoy time with friends & family. Thank you for the support as always 🙏🏼
Percentage of revenue given back to athletes:
MLB = 54.4%
NFL = 47%
NBA = 50%
NHL = 50%
PGA = 33% (online estimate based on available numbers)
US Open 2017 = 14% (7% men, 7% women)
Wimbledon/Roland Garros/Aussie Open = U/A

It's time for change.
Novak doesn’t get enough credit for his openness and generosity. I see it and experience it first hand behind the scenes on a regular basis. Nice memory here for the two kids :)
The Professional Tennis Players Association (PTPA) did not emerge to be combative, to disrupt, or to cause any issues within or outside the tennis tour. Simply to unify the players, have our voices heard & have an impact on decisions being made that effect our lives & livelihoods

The glamorous life of the middle tier of professional tennis = losing money.
Did everything I could to get ready for this year’s
@AustralianOpen
but wasn’t enough and wasn’t where I wanted to be with my game or body. No regrets. Time to get sharp for the next event. 💪🏼
Horrible decision by Roland Garros officials. Miyu Kato should at the very least get her prize money and points returned; and that still won’t make it right. This is theft.
I underestimated the toll those emotions took on me until I stepped onto the court today. Again, I am sorry for my on-court behavior and the language I used.

Tough one yesterday but left it all out there! Great three weeks in Europe with tons of positives to take back home with me. Thank you to the fans for all the love and support I felt out there during the whole trip! Still alive in the doubles tomorrow and then off to Calgary 🤠🇨🇦
This is incredibly ignorant from the so-called leader of the ATP and the sport of tennis. A multi-billion dollar industry yet this man feels it’s ok for only the top 100 players to make a living. This is what happens when you completely monopolize the sport.

Not a fan of this from ATP Chairman Andrea Gaudenzi to FT...
"In the Challenger Tour you should be able to break even & pay your costs. But you have to be conscious that this is sort of like a university. It's an investment. Then go & move into the pro tour where you have a job"
After having pain the last month & upon reviewing the MRI results, I will need to undergo a rehab process. Hope to be back in 5-6 weeks. Disappointing news after a good start to the year. I will rest, rehab, and prepare the best I can & be back asap. Thx for the love 🙏🏼❤️
