The two graphs below vividly demonstrate this trend, which ultimately contributes to protocol earning more revenue from the gas paid (π°π₯).

πβ½οΈ When examining the surge in liquidation events, we notice that liquidators tend to pay higher gas fees (πΈβ½οΈ) compared to the average gas price. This is done to prioritize their transactions and ensure borrowers are unable to repay in time (β°π).

Liquidation events play a vital role in safeguarding a protocol from insolvency. The liquidators have done an impressive job, as reflected in the negative outstanding debt volume π. This indicates that a significant portion of the borrowed amount has been successfully recovered

π‘π The key insight here is that as the collateral ratio declines (β¬οΈπ), it results in a rise in liquidation events (ππ§).

Dividing 292,870.59 by 246,555.04 gives us 1.18, providing a rough estimate of the collateral ratio. βοΈπ Thus, the collateral ratio was less than 1.18 therefore leading to liquidation.

ππ To gauge if the collateral ratio fell below the 1.25 mark, let's observe that the liquidator purchased USDT (π²) worth $246,555.04 to repay the asset to the Aave protocol. In return, the liquidator received $292,870.59 worth of WETH (ππ©οΈ), including the liquidation bonus.

In the end, after subtracting gas fees, the liquidator earns a profit of approximately $11,777.98. π°π πβ½οΈ #LiquidationEvents #ProfitableLiquidation #CryptoTransactions

πΈπ From the image, we can spot the two primary liquidation events (ππ½) conducted by the liquidator. The transactions are as follows: 1οΈβ£ The liquidator purchases 246,764.04 USDT by paying 246,728.56 USDC. 2οΈβ£ Then, the liquidator buys 258,222.21 USDC , paying only 156.79ETH.
