Players picked as bold predictions in this years HLTV Top 20, will be interesting to see how they progress.

🇺🇸 floppy x2
🇦🇷 meyern
🇸🇰 frozen x2
🇱🇹 Bymas
🇷🇺 sh1ro
🇷🇸 nexa
🇩🇰 Bubzkji
🇫🇮 Jamppi
🇧🇬 SHiPZ
🇸🇪 Brollan
🇧🇷 KSCERATO
random fact: NBK- has the 2nd most maps played of any player in CS:GO according to HLTV, 1st being TaZ (left photo).
Today,
@TeamEndpoint
beat him and his team (DBL PONEY) 16-0 on Vertigo. Marking the first time NBK- had lost a map without winning a single round in his career.
Liquid have now attended seven IEM events over the course of (roughly) four years.
3 x playoff finishes
2 x group stage finishes
1 x 2nd place finish
And finally, they have secured their first ever IEM trophy 🏆.
.
@EliGE
earns
#15
in our Top 20 players of 2018 list for playing a pivotal role in Liquid's successes throughout the year with several standout performances.
For more:
So far in 2021 s1mple has averaged a rating of 1.34 over the course of 51 maps. Of those 51 maps he has only had a rating below 1.00 on 8 occasions.
all 8 of those maps have been losses for NAVI and 4 of them are from playing against Gambit.
Allu is a tactical genius. He is best known for his signature tactic ”going B, but then benching AleksiB”. He also has a second little known tactic of ”going A, but then going home without any wins”. What an absolute legend. Top 3 IGL for sure.
North (with Valde as IGL) really like having to make a come back during the opening map of every event they attend.
EPL: 11-4 to 14-16
Dallas: 9-6 (and 14-9) to 14-16
ECS Finals: 12-3 to 23-25
Since joining Vitality
@zywoo
has managed to end all but 2 LAN events (IEM Katowice Major & Charleroi Esports) with at least one 2+ rated map
Two of which took place during a semi-final (DreamHack Atlanta & cs_summit 4) and one of which took place during a grand final (ECS)
.
@RNGjks
ended Mirage with a 2.50 rating, the highest rating hes had since defeating CLG Red 16-0 in January of 2017. This is also the highest rating of his career on a single map.
The core of Vitality (originally water boys when they formed a roster together) had a 16-0 win streak on Inferno before finally being taken down by Valiance today
Dont let Navi's 3-4th place finish fool you into thinking they're back.
Started off with a win over TYLOO (who are now 4/4 in last place finishes at big events)
2-0ed MIBR whose roster cant stay stable for more then a few months at a time
💰6th at BLAST Pro Series Copenhagen 2017
🥉3rd at BLAST Pro Series Istanbul 2018
🥈2nd at BLAST Pro Series Copenhagen 2018
If my calculations are correct,
@NiPGaming
will win BLAST Pro Series Lisbon 🏆🏆🏆
He's only played 7 games with Astralis so far but
@es3tag
has been putting up impressive numbers for the team and is currently their most highly rated player of EPL S12.
Behind him being:
device - 1.17 rating
Magisk - 1.14 rating
Another nice start for the new BIG roster.
So far they have taken down fnatic (
#6
), NaVi (
#1
) and should easily be able to defeat Complexity (
#16
) tomorrow to stay on top of their group.
Only 3 teams outside of the top 30 have won a map against Gambit in 2021
🇧🇾Nemiga (
#51
) at StarLadder RMR on Inferno
🇧🇷MIBR (
#33
) at EPL S13 on Overpass
And today 🇸🇰Enterprise (
#55
) at V4 Future Sports Festival on Dust2
Based on viewing alone, mousesports flash usage felt very inconsistent (players blinding themselves, blinding teammates, failed FA attempts, etc.) against Liquid. So I decided to dive a bit deeper and compare today's game to their one against Gambit yesterday:
(1/3)
The little hope I had for this roster is now gone. It's been nothing but downhill for BIG since gob b stepped down and I dont see them getting better from here.
not a single player from either FURIA or Liquid was able to reach a rating above 1.00 on the CT-side of Overpass (final score 16-14 Liquid)
yuurih being the only one with an ADR above 65
and VINI being the only one with more than 10 kills
.
@mibr
have broken into the top 30 for the first time since the addition of Tuurtle, JOTA, and WOOD7 to their roster in October of 2021.
The last time MIBR made it to the top 30 with a roster was in April of 2021 after competing in EPL S13 (which also featured exit and chelo).
In the absence of
@CoachKayJay
because of personal business last months a great shoutout goes to
@Valk3nn
who has helped me all this time with analysis to assist me on preparing for the games. All for free. 🫶
Just 1 day with the krieg update and all 4 teams that played today in Flashpoint avoided using the weapon. Its usage in yesterdays matches being 24.9% while the ak47 was at only 17%.
When your orgs giveaway coordinators are more on top of roster changes then your actual CS:GO division. Subroza isnt even being tagged in Ghost giveaways anymore.
This is the 1st time that the MIBR core has beaten Liquid on a map since EPL Season 8 in October of 2018
It is also the first time that they've beaten the NA org in a Bo3 since StarSeries Season 5 (May of 2018) and their 1st time doing so in a 2-0 fashion since ESL Cologne 2016
from ending Astralis's 31 map win streak on Nuke (LAN) with Aleksib to getting beaten 16-8 by MIBR, a team who hasn't touched the map since IEM Sydney 2019, with allu leading.
the 200iq plays from ENCE continue
On the brightside of todays loss
BIG (
#26
) are only the second team ranked outside of the top 20 to win a map against Astralis's current lineup (which has been together for 618 days) in a Bo3.
The other team being fnatic:
#26
at IEM Chicago 2018
#23
at DH Masters Malmö 2019
My time with
@nounsesports
has come to an end. Which means I will be looking for new opportunities as an analyst/coach in CS2 (EU or NA).

You guys can meme about Jame saving all you want, but so far every map AVANGAR has lost this Major has been when he performed below a 1.00 rating and had a -KD.
Not to mention the fact that he's currently the second most highly rated player still competing at the event and...
August has been a great month for VINI individually, especially on Inferno (below, 6 maps).
Excited to see if he can keep this up throughout the rest of 2020.
VINI averaged a 2.57 Rating on Inferno against 100 Thieves in
#ESLOne
Cologne 2020 NA, the highest he has had in a single map!
The Brazilian also finished the game with 100% KAST, 150.3 ADR, and 1.65 kills per round.
Last year Astralis lost just one game on Dust2 (big events), ending 2018 with a record of 12-1.
Now, in 2019, they are 8-5 (big events) and 75% of their wins on the map are from BLAST events.
Beat EG (to be fair, this was Navi's most impressive victory in Odense) who then proceeded to get 16-0ed by Mouz & have been traveling nonstop since the beginning of November
Closed out the event with a loss to Fnatic, who they've won 100% of their Bo3s against since ELEAGUE S1
Honestly watching the progress of BIG's new roster is the only thing that has kept me sane in 2020.
From
#46
when they first picked up syrsoN and k1to to
#1
over the course of 6 months. It has been a crazy and fulfilling ride.
CS:GO World Ranking: July 6th, 2020
BIG claim the
#1
spot in the world after a 1st place finish at cs_summit 6 EU, surpassing their previous peak rank of
#6
from August of 2018.
🔗
on top of being the most highly rated player on TeamOne in their series against NAVI,
@MalbsMd_CS
was the only one able to beat s1mple in head to head duels during the game.
.
@BIGCLANgg
are the first team to beat Astralis on Inferno since the ECS Season 6 finals. Ending the Danish teams 21 map win streak.
They are also only the fourth team to beat Astralis on the map in the past 6 months
Astralis’ players have spent the most time as the
#1
team, with their long-standing trio accumulating 120 weeks on top since 2015.
The former MIBR core follows with a total of 56 weeks, while olofmeister combined his time in fnatic and FaZe for 37 weeks as
#1
.
-acoR spent the most time flashing himself with an average of 0.46s vs Liquid and 0.26 vs Gambit. Also concerning to note that he flashed his teammates for a total of 141s against liquid. Which is 34% of mousesports total team flash time.
