Human host infested by the parasitoid wasp Euderus cephalophaga. The wasp lays its egg under the skull. The larva then eats the brain tissue over years, mimicking its nerve signals to keep the host alive. Once it replaces the brain, it moults into its final form, ready to hatch.

Fun Clown Fact #1 ! Clowns can inflate their noses up to a diameter of 30 cm. This is known as "honking". While this behavior is often seen when it feels threatened, a trained clown may also honk for entertainment. Releasing the contained air in a burst creates their iconic sound.

The newly discovered dwarf planet Xipe Totec has completed an unexpectedly close orbit of the Earth, grazing its Roche radius. Tidal waves are expected in the coming days. Authorities are warning not to approach the falling debris that was torn from the planet by Earth's gravity.

A new dwarf planet has been discovered in our solar neighbourhood. It was given the provisional name Xipe Totec. It has gone unnoticed due to its small size and complex orbit, but it recently passed close enough for this first image to be captured.

A boy next to Edmund’s Dolmen, Cornwall. The prehistoric megalith captivated many with its impossible geometry and it quickly became a local attraction. Its structure was unfortunately unstable, and it fell apart in 1936 after years of damage from tourists.

21 June 2004. After a sudden fall in sea level is detected throughout the Pacific Ocean, a detachment of US Marines is sent out. They follow the strong current to its origin. The event, later known as the Pacific Sea Level Anomaly, spontaneously subsided 3 hours later.
