@Vada_Testing
would be happy to dissolve our testing program & concentrate on education once US commissions met the challenge. Still waiting after 10 years.
After 40,our brain shrinks on average 5% per decade.This means the bridging veins connecting brain to its coverings are at increased risk of tearing & increases risk of brain bleeds when head is hit.

It’s an embarrassment & degrading to fighters how little PED testing is done by US commissions.
@Vada_Testing
has always been fighter-driven by those who want clean sport. Hopefully commissions wake up.National government oversight sorely needed.
VADA does not release our results or anyone else’s results to the media. We always release our results to the fighters, their representatives, commissions, promoters, sanctioning bodies, the ABC & their designated record-keeper.
Most fighters competing in US commissions do no drug testing. Less than a handful do any out-of-comp testing. Most have never used a WADA-accredited lab. Most have never tested for EPO or hGH. It is a travesty for fighters who routinely risk their lives.
Why should we congratulate fighters for competing clean? 1. Many don’t! 2. Few boxers are tested leading up to a fight. 3. Many fund their own testing. 4 This isn’t mandatory. 5.They understand the risks in fighting a dirty opponent. 6. They want to demonstrate they’re commitment
Thank you to
@WBCBoxing
for their strong support of
@cleansport
. Sadly, no other sanctioning body seems to acknowledge the importance. Lack of testing, especially out-of-comp testing, contributes to unfair fights & increase safety risks.
A fight should stop when:1) fighter cannot see; 2) fighter no longer able to defend himself/herself due to injury; 3) allowing a fight to continue could permanently endanger the athlete. Orbital fractures can permanently damage a fighter’s vision, eye muscles & nerves.
Anyone believing PED use is always evident in someone cut/muscular IS WRONG! Many prohibited substances are not anabolic & some anabolic agents can be illegally used without producing increased muscle bulk.

Many are too quick to blame only the fighter after an adverse result,but those who supplied/prescribed/advised of PED use should be held equally accountable.
