Optical illusions! Adelson’s Checker-shadow.When comparing two points on the board, they appear different colours. However, both points actually have the same luminance- it is the interpretation of a shadow which results in altered perception.

Optical illusions! The black/blue OR white/gold dress.This phenomenon occurs due to the ambiguity in lighting captured in the picture. Depending on whether you assume the lighting to be artificial or natural, the perception of the dress varies.
