After the talks, the two PMs witnessed the signing of an amended visa-exemption protocol and a cooperation MoU between Vietnam’s Diplomatic Academy and Kuwait’s Saud Al-Nasser Al-Sabah Diplomatic Institute.

The 2 PMs agreed to elevate their countries' relations to the Strategic Partnership while outlining major orientations to advance Vietnam – Kuwait relations in a stronger, more comprehensive, and sustainable manner.

This is the first visit by a 🇻🇳 Leader to 🇰🇼 after 16 years, taking place at the right time when the two countries are ready to elevate bilateral relations to a new height and preparing to celebrate the 50th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations in January 2026.

At the invitation of H.H. Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, H.E. Mr. Pham Minh Chinh – Prime Minister of Viet Nam, his spouse, and a high-ranking Vietnamese delegation arrived in Kuwait on an official visit from November 16 to 18, 2025.
