Jim was a driving force behind the growth of @upplaygrounds . His passion for inclusive play was part of the inspiration to create @VIPPlaygrounds to build truly inclusive playgrounds in Canada. We’re going to miss him a lot, but we will honour his legacy by continuing his work.

Deeply saddened by the loss of my friend Jim Vollmer. A great man and true champion for inclusive play. Jim passed away Friday, 5 years to the day of the dedication of Jake’s Field of Dreams, named after his son, who was a huge Blues and Cards fan and wanted to be a broadcaster.

Dear friends and supporters, We began a new chapter at Unlimited Play when Jim Vollmer joined our team in 2016, after years of volunteering with us. We are saddened to share that Jim passed away on Friday, June 23, after a long battle with cancer. Our full message is below.
