Hannah Nohlen is our second Policy Fellow, who has recently joined the IAS. As a Policy Analyst at the @EU_ScienceHub, she supports EU policy-making by providing evidence on human behaviour.

As we wrap up the first event of the "Future Generations" series, we want to thank all speakers, who shared their insightful knowledge, as well as every person who attended the event.

To conclude, Jet Bussemaker, Prof. of Policy, Science, and Societal Impact and former Minister of Education, Culture, and Science (@MinOCW) is our fourth and final speaker. She gave an interesting talk about the importance of science in policy making.

They carried out an exciting exercise on how envisioning your past and future generations in your mind motivates you in taking concrete actions for the future.

Our next speakers are @JanvandeVenis and @JessicadenOuter, acting Ombudsperson for Future Generations, who presented how we matter for future generations and how we can provide them with proper wellbeing, human rights, and hope for a greener future.

Throughout his career, he has immensely provided contributions to science advice, science policy and science diplomacy. He discussed the current and future role of science in our society as we have been facing, and still are, existential risks, such as climate change.
