I am reminded of a quote from Bashir Ahmad, the Scottish Parliament’s first Muslim member: “It's not where we came from that's important, it's where we're going together." These far-right ideologies hatred are minority views and thankfully not representative of my Scotland. 2/2

The truth is that you are more likely to find traditional Scottish values such as social justice, compassion, charity and community spirit in most Scots who worship at this mosque than the type who graffiti “Scots First” outside it. 1/2
GCM - Statement We were deeply upset to find graffiti on the wall of the Mosque today Acts like this do not represent the values of Glasgow or Scotland. Our city is renowned for its warmth, diversity, and sense of community, and it is that spirit which will always prevail

Such great fun to finally watch Test cricket in Pakistan. We were able to attend the first and last days of @TheRealPCB’s test victory over South Africa in the heat of Lahore. I loved being interviewed for Pakistani tv, radio and featured in a sponsor’s ad drinking tea on screen!

This event happened in Scotland, not England. This video is from the Independence celebration at @PakinGlasgow on 14 August. No Union flag was removed and replaced with a Pakistan flag. This event did not happen in response to Raise the Colours but is instead an annual ceremony.

This poster allegedly provides “research and public education regarding Islamic doctrine”. Perhaps she can research and educate herself about commonwealth students calling to the English Bar before creating dog-whistle posts such as this?
Call to the Bar – Trinity Term, 25 July 2024 https://t.co/LC8vSL2Ave Asking why a prestigious British legal institution would have a call list that is 80% (36 out of 45) Islamic in a country where Muslims are roughly 6.5% of the population is not only logical — it’s essential.

I was about to put on the football on the television in Saudi Arabia but found camel racing on KSA Sports. The commentary is very energetic!
