A phenomenal €5,600 was raised in this year’s Lenten Fundraiser. Well done to everyone involved. The money was distributed thus: €3,000-Trocaire, €1,000-Children Helping Children, €600-Tydavnet Faith &Light, €500-Special Olympics and €500-Irish Kidney Association.

A member of the Garda Síochana dropped in today and made an ‘arrest’. Thankfully it was resolved although Mr McKenna is now ‘known to the Gardaí.’ Some new ‘recruits’ graduated also as the youngest ever to join the force. Law-abiding citizens of Scotstown.
