Last month, Associate Professor Dr. Gabrielle Kuenzli (on the right) crewed Hall of Fame jockey Ramon Dominguez in a Backyard Ultra at Lake Placid, which he won, running 112 miles in 27 hours! One of Dr. Kuenzli's research interests is Latinos in horse racing, especially Jockeys.

Although it may be summer, that doesn't mean our faculty and students are taking a break! Last week, Instructor Dr. Benjamin Schaffer and PhD Student JP Wilson attended the NASOH Conference in Natchez, MS and presented on the panel "Ports, Rivers, and Fleets of South Carolina."
