As a side project, I have been collecting white squirrel and other color morphs for 12 years. I have over 40K citizen science location reports. New ones are sent every day and I have NEVER seen one like this before. Thanks for this oddball! Made my day.

I'll be in Costa Rica next week scouting for another science communication course, and a nature immersion course that we'll be running through StoneAgeMan in the future. Very excited!

I just talked to another person who got their mushroom content taken down. They were not talking about doing anything illegal, just growing random mushrooms (a technique that could also be used to grow magic mushrooms). Where is the line? I'm not sure.

I guess I thought people might have more to say about this on the platform. Maybe not. Nobody seemed to even see it.
Are we being censored for sharing health-related or myco-information? I posted about this on YouTube, and hundreds of people reached out to share similar experiences. I'm curious—what do you know about this? Have you noticed anything unusual? Let's discuss!

This is ginger which grows all over the forest. It was fun pulling it up to show people the root and where that spice comes from. The shot is from 2003 when I was in grad school at the University of Hawaii and leading botany hikes for tourists.

Anyone want to join me in on a ceremony of the myco-kind in Costa Rica Nov 15-19? It's rare I get these opportunities and there is a great org there doing it. It's worth finding others with a similar positive mindset going in.

This is where cinnamon comes from! I used to show this tree to people when I guided walks in Hawaii and 99 percent of people had no idea the size it can get.

New Youtube video on 8 Moroccan spices with incredible health benefits. I'm curious which image is most appealing to you. I fully understand everyone has a different opinion on having a face on the thumbnail so I'm experimenting. Any thoughts you have are awesome. "Spices to

It seems there is a book in the future related to my views within the ancestral health movement and the idea that we can re-wild ourselves in an attempt to live healthier modern lives.

I just came back from 12 days disconnected in Morocco to find the world agitated and at least on social, on high-alert. I'm saddened by the news. However, I have faith that if we focus on those immediately around us (ourselves included) and give them kindness, the problems of the

Snowcamp is happening again this winter. Do you want to come? It really is a life changing experience, or if you're already an uber advanced eco-traveler, it's a great way to see the aurora with a group of like-minded people (and you'll probably make some life-long friends).

First day of school and I hope you all are excited for the next thing that's coming around the corner! Somehow my 14 year old grabbed a coffee to start the day. Not sure I approve, but still blown away at how fast growing up happens.

Oyster mushrooms are some of the best for 1. eating and 2. health. I'm excited to have this flush in my backyard.

I try to post an update every year around this time. It's good to track progress. This year will an easy one to remember with our trip to CO and my hair a bit less tamed.
This year's birthday was remarkably better than last year's birthday. Things are looking up. I hope you all can say the same.
