[It stared at the ground for some time. A few seconds? An hour? A day? The creature did not know. Then it bent over, picking up the dead bird, and tearing it apart with it's teeth, before resuming the staring.]

[Everything inside him squeezed, crushing from the electricity. He clawed at the collar, cutting his own skin to try to get it off. And then stilled. Arms dropping to the side, back arching, head lolling back- then straightened slowly, assuming the slouched posture again.]

[The collar beeped- before Ludwig snapped his head back, grunting in pain as two spikes in the collar pierced skin. He held the bird tighter, shutting his eyes. “Please no. Not again. It hurts.” he pleaded with nothing. And then the collar went off, with a long continuous beep.]

[His claws stroked its head gently. Blood dripped down his chest and arms from the bird. “I'm sorry. Just promise me you'll take care of yourself, no matter what happens? I just want you to be happy. No matter what that means. Promise me to be ha-” And then he stiffened.]

[It came out as hardly a whisper. Ludwig’s hands shook. Curled his hands closed, bringing them close to his chest and tears welling up in his eyes.] “archimedes.. I'm so sorry… Mein junge.. I'm sorry..”

[And then dropped it, staring and the blood on its hands. It stared. And stared. Stared. Stared. And then something flicked on. It stared at it's hands.] “ArCimEdIes?”

[There was only a hum where thought should be. There was a coo to it's right. It's claws shot out, a visceral crunch making it look at what had happened. Like the mind trailer behind, before the body reacted. White feathers. Blood. It's head cocked slightly.]

[Especially when having previously been smaller, organs arranged haphazardly. What was left was the man hung it's head, long curly hair shielding most of its face. It's face was blank, with nothing to hint at emotion. It simply stared while the body kept going.]

[And so it sat there, lungs heaving. Such a body so hastily made, thought out so poorly- was hardly fool proof. It was almost collapsing inwards- almost. It's muscle had been made too dense to fully collapse inwards. But such a large creature was unsustainable.]

[And whoever had orchestrated this musical of horror, was conducting on what pleased their ears, not how fast the musicians were able to play. Never mind their bleeding fingers, the wails that accompany the torturous chords, all was part of the song.]
