Students chose a scientist's work to explore and conducted a mini-experiment in class. They then submitted a short video describing the result and the importance to the field of science. Uniondale HS had over 15 groups of students submit entries to the challenge. Go Knights!

One major implication of her findings is that if employers want to alleviate anxiety in the workplace, companies should start training workers on how to coexist with automation so that they can get used to having automation in the workforce.

By analyzing her data, I found out that there was a statistically significant relationship between job satisfaction and fear of becoming obsolete due to automation. Her hypothesis was in fact proven correct.

Her original hypothesis was that there will be a decrease in job satisfaction and people will be very afraid of becoming obsolete. She used a survey that was sent via Mechanical Turk to participants that are currently employed in a variety of fields.

I am pleased to report that ALL of our AP research scholars scored a 3 or higher for their projects. There are two components of the AP Research assessment: 1. A 5000-6000 word academic paper 2. A 15-20 minute presentation and oral defense. I am so proud of them!
