Last week, the Space Conference 2024 took place in Stuttgart, opened by Prof. Voggenreiter (DLR) and Prof. Fasoulas. We were well represented: Alongside our professors, many doctoral students also presented their projects.

he IRS was honored to join the 75th International Astronautical Congress in Milan under the theme "Responsible Space for Sustainability." Over 11,000 participants exchanged insights on the future of space exploration.

New camera test stand in operation: Lunar surfaces can now be simulated to create photo databases for mission scenarios. These images help develop algorithms for obstacle detection and environmental analysis, enabling safe operation of our micro-rover in rocky terrain.

At the 3rd Life Cycle Assessment Workshop on Space Transportation Systems, 35 professionals from various sectors gathered to discuss the environmental impact of rockets. We thank all participants for their valuable contributions. The results will be published in a white paper.

Our Micro-Rover scale model is off to the Small Satellite Conference in Utah! Designed for a potential lunar South Pole mission, it aims to study craters and surface composition. We are currently seeking mission payload suggestions!
