RTD always had rushed and flat resolutions and has always been more about the characters and emotional drama. His best twists have always been more about reveals and we got that last week. Ruby's mum being normal WAS a twist. At least he didn't go back on it like Rey Skywalker

I feel peoples expectations are too high? A lot of the criticisms of the ep could be made of any ep of RTD1 and the classic series, including Pyramids of Mars. I feel Moffats era has shifted expectations.
