Just a heads up for our followers. My sister, Rachelle and I are going on vacation as of Sunday the 2nd of November for a family visit. We won't be back until sometime in the 2nd week of November, so with that said we will be incognito for that time. However I will do my very

@UndercoverIndy I don't even remember all the brands, just that my second electric was a dark brown burst LP copy with some off brand logo on the headstock. It cost me 225 bucks new and played decently enough for someone of my skill level at the time, circa late 70's.

This is a master I digitized not too long ago to post on @Youtube . Don't pay any attention to the VU meters on this deck cause I was having some issues with my DBX at the time. =) https://t.co/AqkqUCNQdz
@UndercoverIndy @WeAreFocusrite That's the challenge. Can you recommend anywhere that has a reel to reel? I don't have one, and have called 2 studios locally and nobody has one.

@UndercoverIndy Just looked that up: the tailpiece itself is adjustable 🫣. I never knew..

Indeed they did, but to a layman the placement wouldn't be that obvious. We try to teach people what to look for when purchasing authentic rigs. We used to do this all the time back in the day before our old account @UndercoverIndi was hacked. We now have a new group of
@ArturFufkin @UndercoverIndy They really butchered the knob placement on that one. Sheesh

It's only a week, cause we still have Christmas coming up, so the ladies needed to use only part of their vacation time. I'm on permanent vacation. lol =)

Very good. =)
@UndercoverIndy The right. Tone knobs are not centered correctly and too far from the tailpiece. Most chibsons the knobs are too far to the right

Edwards, Tokai, and Greco are the top brands and for my money I prefer Tokai Gakki over all of them. Back in the day it was Ibanez, Hondo and a few others. =) https://t.co/UhKdHmApal

@UndercoverIndy When I was a teenager/young adult back in the late 70's and early 80's, the music stores sold various copies and clones of LP's and other guitars. I don't think they were "chibbies" as they never tried to pass them off as actual Gibsons. They had various brand names.

If you still own a R&R then it's as simple as getting yourself a @WeAreFocusrite 4i4 or something similar to convert the analogue signal to digital. It's actually very easy to set up. =) https://t.co/yuL65SKHts

@UndercoverIndy I have a reel to reel of original music I made in 1986, and I would like to convert to digital. Can you point me in the right direction?

Very good observation to make and yes that's usually a dead giveaway. =)
@UndercoverIndy I always look at the neck binding to see if it's over the fret ends on a Gibson - first thing I look at.

@UndercoverIndy The one big thing to remember. Nobody at a guitar show is selling real Gibsons for $400. I was at a show and a guy was playing around with a 335 priced around there. I told the guy, it’s not a real Gibson. The guy behind the table looked like he wanted to kill me. 😁

Yes. I'm only stopping by this morning to catch up on the thread and then I'm going to start getting ready to leave in the morning. Lots to do. Going to get our house sitter familiarized with our security system first and foremost. We don't ever leave our home without someone
@UndercoverIndy All ready for your Vacation?!?!

I'm going to have to make this a bit harder next time, but I gotta make it fair for those who are less familiar so not to make those people feel foolish. It's a learning process and the Chinese are getting better and better at fooling people who are less aware than those of us
@UndercoverIndy Right. Too easy.

The eyes come from our mother, but as far as looking alike, yeah kinda, but not quite. We are both unique in our own way. She's more of a free spirit and I'm more conservative and sometimes those personalities traits clash bigtime. lol =)
@UndercoverIndy You girls look the same. Two tender on the eyes.

@UndercoverIndy I learned from my dad- on this guitar! I blame him for the many years of nonsense, and so does my identical twin brother!

Not that I am aware of, no, but that doesn't mean they don't. I'll ask around our groups to see if anyone does. =) Please remember to add a link, so everyone knows what you are talking about. =) https://t.co/UsDJDdFVpf

@UndercoverIndy So do you know anyone that uses the lightning machined aluminum tail piece? It seems to provide the benefit of reducing the break angle without having to top wrap.
