Customers can’t ask for solutions they are unable to imagine. So don’t ask them what solutions they want. Instead ask them what metrics they use to measure success when getting a job done. Then conceptualize new solutions that will help them get that job done perfectly. #JTBD

@AshleyAitken Exactly! But use #DiscoveryDrivenPlanning (the original by @rgmcgrath from the 90's) and @Pretotyping. And use @ulwick's approach to #JobsToBeDone for your insights on what to try, and your decision criteria. Doing this will give you massive advantages in speed & impact!

Jobs-to-be-done should be the first tool you use when building a new product. JTBD helps understand both the user's specific goal ("job") and the thought processes that would lead that user to "hire" a product to complete the job.
