Using bacteria to strengthen soil? It’s real and it’s sustainable. Through a process called biocementation, Associate Professor Mike Gomez is harnessing natural bacteria to cement soil particles together to reduce the risk of liquefaction.

The Northwestern Tribal Technical Assistance Program, housed in CEE, is part of the TRAVELS Center, a initiative led by @UWMadEngr. With support from the @USDOT the center will develop autonomous vehicle technology to improve access in underserved areas.
