The applications require very little effort, and the applicant pool is often small. It is definitely worth trying, and you can apply for multiple awards if you like.

Dr. Hyman is an Assistant Professor of Environmental Justice at UNC-Charlotte and the co-director of Freedom on the Move Project, as well as an avid birder. Her work centers critical geography and cartographies of struggle and the intersectionality of birding. 2/4.
