UTC students Mason Edwards, Bethany Cothran and Cassandra Castillo, and recent May graduates Caroline Colvin and Maddie Charnes, took home top honors in all three student categories at the recent Golden Press Card Awards in Knoxville, Tennessee.

Rising Rock swept the 2023 Golden Press Card Awards of the East Tennessee, taking all three student journalism categories.

UTC feature writing students visit the newsroom of the Chattanooga @TimesFreePress this week. They attended a morning editors’ meeting, met with members of the Chatter magazine staff, and chatted with a recent UTC graduate, Sam Still, who is now a TFP staff writer.

Come to Lupton at noon Wednesday or Thursday this week and learn about the requirements and application deadlines for turning in your portfolio to do your summer or fall 2024 internships. Applications are due Feb. 16, so come to these sessions so you don’t fall behind.
